Honor Annie’s Legacy Inc.—Give a Hand Up Today

Dear Community,

My mother, Annie, passed away from cancer at just 56 years old. It was a devastating loss to our family, but as I look back on her life, the thing that shines brightly is the sheer scale of her heart. Annie didn’t just love her own children; her love expanded to encompass our entire community. She gave unselfishly, not out of abundance, but out of the deep conviction that we are all responsible for one another. She taught her children that if a neighbor is hurting, it is our job to stretch out a hand and pull up another chair. Even during her hardest battles, her concern was always for the well-being of those around her. Now that she is gone, I have made it my mission to ensure that her love for this community never stops being felt. This nonprofit is my way of keeping Annie’s Legacy alive by continuing the quiet, life-changing acts of kindness she practiced every single day. But I cannot carry her torch alone. Today, I am asking you to join me in honoring Annie’s memory by providing a hand up to neighbors who are facing their darkest moments. Your donation today translates my mother’s lifelong love into tangible, immediate relief for families in our community who desperately need a lift. Today, we're reaching out to ask for your support during this season of giving. Your donation will help us with things such as meals, gifts, shelter, or support services. This year we are collecting essential items for families in need, including:
  • Pampers and pull-ups for infants and toddlers because they are a hidden, critical crisis for families; they are expensive hygiene necessities that no government safety-net program covers.
  • Baby wipes for daily care.
  • School supplies to help children thrive in the classroom.
  • Warm winter coats to protect against the cold.

Holiday turkeys to bring families together around the table. My mom lived here for 56 years, showing her children and others that no one in our community should ever have to suffer alone. Please join me in keeping my mother’s beautiful spirit alive through action. Honor Annie’s Legacy Inc.: Give a hand up today! Giving is easy.
